Renowned for its depth and humanity, Alex Arcoleo’s electronic music is led by melody rather than percussion. Growing up in a musical family, the self-taught pianist, composer and producer grew up transcribing jazz pianists, before being pulled into the world of electronic music by his admiration for artists like Bonobo.
Alex’s commercial career began in 2011, when he signed with Audio Network. More than a decade on, the Guildford-raised star has seen his music used in campaigns for some of the world's biggest brands, including Puma, BMW, Samsung and Lacoste. Driven by a desire to innovate, Alex balances commercial success with critical acclaim, having reached the top three of Spotify’s UK Viral Chart while receiving support from Nowness, Martin Garrix and BBC Radio 1.
The pandemic had a profound effect on us all, and for Alex, he stepped outside of the music world and found a love for making furniture out of wood. (We know, so many skills!)
Thankfully a change of scenery and some big life lessons meant he started making music again. He upped sticks and instruments and moved from Guildford to Frome, a quirky town known for its performing arts scene. The results of all these life changes can be heard in his latest commercial release, Juna.
